Wellsculpt Foundry

Toward the end of my studies at Purchase College I sat around my shop built stone carving table with my professor Philip Listengart. We discussed how I could go about putting my acquired skills to practical use by building a foundry so that I could cast my own bronzes outside the realm of academia.

With much thought and planning, I designed and built Wellsculpt Foundry having our inaugural pour in December of 2007. Wellsculpt is an intimate foundry using traditional lost wax technique and fine quality Silicon Bronze. Each piece is given painstaking personal attention at every step of the process by myself, Michael Wells, proprietor of Wellsculpt Foundry.

After working with Natalie Edgar to preserve the work of her late husband sculptor Philip Pavia in bronze, Wellsculpt Foundry is now extending its services to the public. We offer bronze casting, patination and preservation services as well as mold making and the casting of resin, fiberglass and bonded bronze. Please contact us for a quote.
